Knowing Your Oils Better
Hemp oil and CBD oil are both extractions of the marijuana plant. It is easy to get confused as there are a various number of products available, coming from the marijuana plant. Therefore, it is easy to confuse the effects of both the oils.
These oils differ on the basis of the part of the plant that they are extracted from. Hemp oil is usually extracted from the seeds of the plant. Whereas the CBD oil is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the plant. Both the oils also differ in the treatments they give.
Hemp oil is normally extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. The hemp plant is a type of marijuana plant, which is mostly grown for industrial purposes. The hemp plants have lower levels of cannabinoid such as THC which is also known as tetrahydrocannabinol.
The oil is extracted by pressing the seeds. The process of extraction is very similar to the extraction of olive oil and coconut oil. This oil also contains very fewer amounts of CBD (cannabidiol). However, due to the modern sciences, the oil is devoid of THC and CBD.
The uses of hemp oil:
hemp oil can be easily added to meals, shampoos, lotions, soaps or other beauty products. The oil is rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6, which are one of the most profitable health components. These factors help erase many signs of aging as well as improve heart conditions.
Both the factors in the oil act as the natural lipids of the skin, therefore keeping the skin hydrated and moisturized. It is not only useful for skin, but also for hair and nails.
Studies by researchers also show that hemp oil is also responsible for decreasing the levels of cholesterol. This, in turn, helps in increasing the metabolism of the body.
CBD oil contains high levels of cannabidiol. It is easily found in hemp plants, which are mainly cultivated with high levels of CBD, and a very small amount of THC.
THC causes a euphoric or “high” feeling. This is why many health beneficial marijuana products have reduced amounts of THC. CBD does not give you that feeling. It only relaxes the neurons in the body.
The CBD works by producing endocannabinoids in the body. The endocannabinoid system helps to keep the body in a calm and balanced state. The stimulation of endocannabinoids in the body helps to maintain the productivity of the receptors. Opioid recep[tors are also affected by the CBD oil. As well as the serotonin and the dopamine receptors are affected too.
Uses Of CBD Oil:
CBD is usually used by athletes to reduce muscle pain as well as decrease inflammations. The opioid receptors are stimulated. These receptors act like morphine in the body which helps in decreasing the pain in the body.
Recent discoveries also show that the CBD also helps with relieving stress and anxiety. It is also used to treat patients suffering from depression. The increase in the levels of serotonin in the system helps with anxieties and depressions. People suffering from cancer and undergoing chemotherapy also use CBD oil as it helps ease nausea and increase their appetite.
